Spend a full day exploring the wild beauty of southern Tasmania with Pennicott Wilderness Journey. Travel from Hobart to Bruny Island and take in the rugged coastline, dramatic sea cliffs, and the sweeping power of the Southern Ocean.

Your experience includes a three-hour wilderness cruise where you’ll see the “Breathing Rock” in action, wave-carved sea stacks like the iconic Monument, deep sea caves, remote islands and kelp forests. Keep an eye out for wildlife including fur seals, dolphins, seabirds, and even whales if you’re lucky.

The day also includes a return guided bus tour, SeaLink ferry crossing, morning tea, lunch and commentary from local guides. This is a unique opportunity to experience Tasmania’s natural wonders while learning about the landscapes, wildlife and stories that make Bruny Island so extraordinary.

Itinerary

7:45am - Departs from Pennicott Wilderness Journeys Booking Centre

9:00am - SeaLink Ferry crossing 

10.30am - Morning Tea at Adventure Bay

11:00am - 3 Hour Wilderness Cruise

2:00pm - Cruise concludes, Lunch

3:00pm - Bus departs for return journey

4:30pm - Ferry crossing

5:30pm - Arrive back in Hobart


The Full Day Tour departs from the Pennicott Wilderness Journeys Booking Centre. This is situated on Hobart's waterfront on Franklin Wharf, next to the Constitution Dock Lifting Bridge.
