Our social events are where the Family Business Conference really comes to life. There’s a buzz in the room and that special 'magic dust' we know and love. Everyone is genuinely so welcoming, it's what makes the family business community so special. These events are crafted to help you make new connections, catch up with old friends and overall have a great time together.
It's important to note that some of the events below are included in your registration, while others are optional extras that you'll need to add-on at the time of registration. You are also welcome to purchase additional tickets for guests to come along too.

Designed specifically for emerging generation family members, this 3-course lunch on Wednesday 20 May allows you to rotate seats with each course, meeting new people who relate to being the next generation in their family business.
Family Business Excellence Awards Dinner

A night of glitz and glamour, the Excellence Awards Dinner on Thursday 21 May celebrates achievements across the family business sector. Enjoy a delicious three-course sit-down dinner, cheer on our award winners and then dance the night away!
Women Leading the Way Breakfast

Start off your morning on Friday 22 May hearing from Kelly Elphinstone, Executive Director of the Elphinstone Group. Open to all genders, this breakfast is an opportunity to learn from Kelly's experiences, gain new insights and be inspired by her leadership story.

Close out the 2026 Family Business Conference: Asia-Pacific on Friday 22 May with your Farewell Drinks. Come together one last time with the people you've met throughout the week, chat about what you’ve learned and what you’ll put into practice, share a laugh, a drink and a nibble… until next time.
Bruny Island Cruise

Spend a full day on Saturday 23 May, exploring Bruny Island’s rugged southern coastline with Pennicott Wilderness Journey. Enjoy a 3-hour wilderness cruise, spot seals, dolphins, seabirds, and maybe whales, and take in dramatic cliffs, sea caves, and kelp forests, with guides, ferry, morning tea and lunch included.

Finish off your conference experience on Saturday 23 May, and take a scenic ferry ride from Hobart to MONA, the Museum of Old and New Art, known for its striking architecture and provocative collection. Explore ancient, modern, and contemporary works from David Walsh’s collection, including pieces that challenge and surprise.
