KEYNOTE SESSION
Speaker | Kate Ceberano
Date and Time | Thursday 21 May, 3:30pm - 4:30pm
After four decades in the spotlight, Kate Ceberano is a true musical chameleon - jazz chanteuse, pop singer, actress, TV personality and author. From her early days in Melbourne’s vibrant 1980s music scene to chart-topping solo albums, stage roles and sold-out orchestral performances, Kate has continuously reinvented herself while staying true to her artistic instincts.
At the heart of her longevity is family. From performing alongside her brother Phil to building a creative and production partnership with her husband, Lee Rogers, Kate has seamlessly blended family and enterprise. Together, they run their own independent label, collaborate on major projects, and support the next generation, including her daughter’s emerging music career.
In this inspiring session, Kate shares behind-the-scenes stories from her remarkable career and reflects on how collaborating with family has shaped her as an artist, highlighting the power of trust, partnership and shared vision.

Kate Ceberano has forged a unique presence among the true legends of Australian music in a career spanning five decades: a commanding personality, an electrifying performer and a peerless voice that defies time, fashion and genre.
Her 11 platinum and 8 gold album status, 11 Top 10 albums, 15 Top 40 singles, 3 Countdown awards, 5 ARIA awards from 22 nominations (9 for Best Female Artist) and more than 6,000 live performances only begin to attest to her unassailable impact on the Australian stage.
In 2025, Kate’s sold-out 21-date Australian Made Tour built on the momentum of two previous sold out national tours — the epic orchestral My Life Is A Symphony in 2023, Superstars Live with Jon Stevens in 2024 — to celebrate her own platinum catalogue alongside classic Australian songs that helped shape and inspire her extraordinary career.
In turn, her concert album Australian Made Live! documented that extraordinary triumph over 28 tracks in August 2025, notching up another hit and her 11th ARIA Top 10 album.
It was the original Australian Made tour of 1986/7 with INXS, Jimmy Barnes, Divinyls, Models and more that first brought Kate’s jaw dropping voice to national attention on the heels of Bear Witness, the platinum debut by her early band I’m Talking.
Her vast legacy includes a record-breaking run with John Farnham in Jesus Christ Superstar, a 3 x platinum solo pop debut, Brave, a platinum jazz album, You’ve Always Got The Blues, her 2014 induction into the Australian Songwriters’ Hall of Fame and countless triumphs spanning pop, rock, jazz, soul and beyond. Recent years have brought new acclaim as a painter and a memoir titled UNSUNG: A Compendium of Creativity.
Kate’s currently touring all six states with Jimmy Barnes’ on his massive 40th Anniversary Working Class Man tour, then she will embark on her massive 30 date Australian Made Tour 2026.
Singer, songwriter, author, artist and spokeswoman for generations of self-empowered artists defining their own ground on their own terms, Kate is a force of nature, Australian entertainment royalty and a bona fide national treasure.
