When significant life events, such as age-related illness or disability affect a family, it can bring new pressures, responsibilities and difficult decisions. When personal and professional lives overlap in family business, shifts in health can affect family roles, decision-making, leadership and the day-to-day of running a business.
This session will explore the impact ageing, illness and disability can have on family dynamics and decision-making. Danielle Ciliberto, Director of her family business Technologica will share her personal story of supporting her father living with Alzheimer’s, reflecting on what this has meant for her family and the business. Alongside her, Danielle Robertson founder of DR Care Solutions brings deep expertise (almost 40 years) in aged care and disability services, offering practical guidance for families navigating health changes in the family.
Together, they will share practical insights on how families can prepare for these challenges, have constructive and compassionate conversations, and navigate transitions in a way that supports both family wellbeing and the long-term sustainability of the business.
