Pennicott Wilderness Journeys was founded in 1999 by Rob Pennicott, starting with a single tour of Bruny Island. Today, the family business operates eight unique tours, showcasing the spectacular wilderness and wildlife of southern Tasmania.
Join Rob for an exclusive cruise exploring Hobart’s iconic waterways. Travel down the Derwent River past historic Battery Point, landmarks such as Wrest Point Casino and the Shot Tower, and enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Wellington. Visit Australia’s oldest lighthouse, the Iron Pot, and hear stories of Hobart’s early maritime history. Rob will also share the inspiring story of his family business, how it all began, his passion for the work, and the ways it operates sustainably in harmony with the environment and local communities.

Family Business Site Visits are included in your delegate rate. You will be able to attend one of the eight Site Visits on offer. If you are planning to attend, make sure to share your preference during registration and we will do our best to accommodate your selection, but it cannot be guaranteed.

Transport
Our meeting point will be the Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart, and then we will take a short walk as a group to the Pennicott Wilderness Journey's Booking Centre. We estimate a duration of 3 hours for this site visit. Exact times for departure and return will be confirmed closer to the date. In the meantime, please plan to be available from 12:00pm.
